Saturday 2 October 2010
8-11am Gourmet Breakfast at taste Canowindra. Ph 02 6344 2332.
9.30am Cowra unveiling of interpretive sign Lachlan Street Overpass rail bridge by Cowra Council.
8am-2pm Markets in Memorial Park. To book a stall phone 6344 2025.
10am-4pm Age of Fishes Museum Fabrics in the Fossils, ride-on model train. Phone 02 6344 1008.
10am-4pm Perennialle Plants Nursery and Gardens rare, drought resistant & frost tolerant plants, all locally grown. 142 Gaskill Street, phone 0427 077 798
11.30am Street parade departing Mill Street then into Blatchford, Ryall and Gaskill streets finishing at Railway Station. Floats, vintage vehicles, marchers, bushrangers, entries in best decorated bicycle competition, Gooloogong trail riders, clowns and all the fun of a parade.
12.30pm after the arrival of the parade. Judging of best decorated bicycle, children’s activities.
Lunchtime: Lions Club barbeque, stalls in Memorial Park, bakery, deli, cafes, counter lunches at the pubs, bring your own picnic, or dine at the Clubs and restaurants.
2pm Happy 100th Birthday to the Railway Cottage. Unveiling of the interpretive sign. Unveiling of the Canowindra station sign.
12.30-4pm Model railway, presentation and slide show on history of Cowra-Canowindra railway, displays of historical memorabilia.
2.30-4pm CWA Hall Afternoon tea, coffee and delectable country cooking.
5pm WOMINDRA world music and folk at taste Canowindra. Tickets $45 and light meals are also available but not included in the ticket price. Phone 02 6344 2332.
